Scilab should have functions for axes limits manipulation such as xlim, ylim, zlim
Reported by Nikolay Strelkov
BUG DESCRIPTION:
----------------
Scilab 5.5.0 do not have a function for axes limits manipulation such as xlim, ylim, zlim.
Please add built-in function for such simple and frequently-used task.
The function may look as follows (the simplest variant):
function xlim (lo_hi)
a = gca();
a.tight_limits='on';
db = a.data_bounds;
a.data_bounds = [lo_hi(1), db(1,2); lo_hi(2), db(2,2)]
endfunction
and so on for ylim and zlim.
ERROR LOG:
----------
none
HOW TO REPRODUCE THE BUG:
-------------------------
1. Prepare and plot some data
2. Try to set axes limits with one line function - it's not possible, user should operate with gca().data_bounds vector.
OTHER INFORMATION:
------------------
Other mathematical programs have such function (for example, Octave, FreeMAT and MATLAB).
