BUG DESCRIPTION: If the figure size exceeds the size of the screen, a vertical scroll bar should be generated. This is important for graphics written for a big monitor to be usable on a laptop or netbook. Unfortunately vertical or horizontal scrollbars are not part of the figure properties explicitly, in order to write my own patch. In 5.3.3 a scrollbar could be enforced by sizing the axes_size larger than the figure_size with auto_resize set to "off", but this does not seem to work any more in 5.5.0/5.5.1.
Similarly if x_mdialog has more than 25 entries, and thus its figure exceeds the size of the screen, the OK button ends up inacessible below the screen area. In 5.3.3 a scrollbar would be generated automatically for x_mdialog, as soon as there were more than 10 entries.

HOW TO REPRODUCE THE BUG:
-------------------------
f=scf(1)
f.figure_size=[300,500]
f.auto_resize="off"
f.axes_size=[250,700]
// figure size remains unchanged (as set), but no scrollbar is generated, axes object is clipped. The x_mdialog issue seems related.
