No way to cancel writing a block in the console
Reported by Francois Granade
BUG DESCRIPTION:
----------------
when I'm using the command line and I'm writing a block (e.g. a for loop) there's no way to cancel what I've already started writing.
there should be a way to abort when inside an edition block, by doing Ctrl-C (on platform where it is not the shortcut for copy), or Ctrl-D
this was worse in 5.5.2, much better in 6 where you can see if you are in a block - but still a prb.
HOW TO REPRODUCE THE BUG:
-------------------------
--> for i=1:1000
> a = ones(1000, 1000);
> clear("aa")
> // argh, I wrote an incorrect line above... what can I do ???
> // doesn't work..
> abort
> // will cause an error, whereas the only thing I want to do is **cancel**
> end
