Assuming that building a debugger is planned (is it?), it will not be available before the release and the stabilization of the new parser, with Scilab 6. So, as a good transient solution, breakpoint management would already help a lot.Activity

What's the difference between this and #9462?
I guess that there should be one, since you wouldn't have posted a duplicate ;) Apart joking: I understand that your request goes beyond mine, because a full debugger has other features such as step by step exec and dynamically inspection of local variables, etc.
Why would this be only a transient solution? Because everyone hopes that some day "only" breakpoint management will be superseded by a full debugger.
And why is it then blocking #9462? Because there couldn't be a full debugger without breakpoints management.
