The commands:
clf;x=0:9;plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1)
plots across the whole screen and then clears the 221 area
(I believe if this is the correct behavior, it should be
documented in the help subplot)
clf; x=0:9; plot(x,2*x);subplot(1,1,1)
plots across the whole screen and then clears nothing
clf; x=0:9; plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1);subplot(1,1,1)
Doesn't clear the what is left of the original plot
clf; x=0:9; plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1);plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1)
doesn't clear the subplot again.
clf; x=0:9; plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1);plot(x,2*x);subplot(1,1,1);subplot(2,2,1)
doesn't clear the subplot again
clf; x=0:9; plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1);plot(x,2*x);subplot(1,1,1);subplot(2,2,1);plot(x,3*x)
doesn't clear the subplot again
clf; x=0:9; plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1);plot(x,2*x);subplot(1,1,1);plot(x,3*x)
doesn't clear the subplot again
clf; subplot(2,2,1); subplot(1,1,1);x=0:9; plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1) doesn't
clear the subplot.
clf; subplot(2,2,1); subplot(1,1,1);x=0:9; plot(x,2*x);subplot(2,2,1);plot(x,2*x)
plots the last plot below the first plot.
